peaceful slumber
Brent and I went on a date tonight and when we got back, the children were both asleep. What a great babysitter!!! Anyway, after I took my sitter home and came back I went to make sure my girls both had their blankies and to kiss them. It's great coming home to them in bed but I always miss tucking them in. I stood and watched them and my heart was overwhelmed with love and gratitude for my children and my husband. I absolutely love snuggling my kids while they sleep. No matter how hectic and crazy the day has been there is nothing more peaceful than watching them sleep. I found a poem to perfectly describe how I felt.
"As I stood and watched you sleeping, the moonlight kissed your face. My heart is overwhelmed with your beauty and your grace. How precious and so delicate is your tiny little hand. And the sweetness of your lips and eyes is nothing less than grand. Your spirit and your softness tenderly sets my heart aglow, with a love so deep and infinite that only a mother could know. So tonight I count my blessings for my darling, baby dear, for surely God did hear my heart and answered every prayer."

There's always more!
As I sit here tonight, dinner done and kids in bed, I just want to relax and do nothing! But I go pick up the toys and add to the never ending pile of laundry, pack bags and lay kids clothes out for tomorrow. Grumbling "Goodness, it's never ending! There is always more." And I haven't even read my scriptures yet. And then it dawns on me. It really is all never ending and isn't it great. Wouldn't it be sad if it were not! So next time I complain about there being more to do, I'll just be glad. I will enjoy the tiny little clothes that I get to fold and be glad that I have my kids who give me more to do. Always.

Happy Birthday Brent
Brents birthday was last week. The girls helped me make a birthday cake. (Which we did not have candles for!) They think that is the best part of birthdays. It is so fun to have kids around to celebrate things because they get excited over the most simple things. They were so excited to give Daddy his presents. All week they kept telling him they had a surprise but they couldn't tell him what is was. Anyway, I love having them around, what a blessing it is to have families.
Happy Birthday Babe! We love you! What a good daddy and husband he his! We are lucky to have him.
Where in the world is Abby?
I woke up early to get the house in order before the kids woke up. Abby surprisingly wasn't in our bed. She usually sneeks in our bed in the wee hours of morning. She never wakes us up just sneeks in and snuggles her way in. Anyway, I went to peek at my girls but only Avery was there. I was a little nervous... where in the world is that girl? Well, anyway, I go to let the doggies outside and guess who I find snuggling up in the closet with the dogs? That is so Abby! What a cutie!
Am I beautiful?
I was in the kitchen making breakfast for the girls and I went to find Avery. She was sitting on my bathroom counter putting makeup on herself. Man oh man was she proud of herself! She asked "Am I beautiful?" I wasn't mad at all it was way too cute. What a precious little girl!

Well, forget fall...winter has arrived with lows of -15 this week! The girls are excited because they love for Brent to pull us in the sled with the 4 wheeler. Abby made beautiful snow angels and ate the freshly fallen snow. We have had snow for the last 3 weeks but it melted for 1 day and this is the newest batch.

Tiny Dancers
Avery and Abby are in the same class this year. It is so much fun to watch them! Avery is only 2 but Miss. Mo was sick of Avery crying in the door every week "I wanna dance too!' So she let her join early.... Thank you! Avery loves dancing. She is so proud of herself. I'm actually a little surprised at how well she is doing. Abby is such a sweet big sister. She is always saying "I'll help ya sissy." They are such good friends. Im so glad they are so close in age.
Avery, Abby and our friends Eliza and Lucy. This is they're last session before they move. We will miss you!
