peaceful slumber

Brent and I went on a date tonight and when we got back, the children were both asleep. What a great babysitter!!! Anyway, after I took my sitter home and came back I went to make sure my girls both had their blankies and to kiss them. It's great coming home to them in bed but I always miss tucking them in. I stood and watched them and my heart was overwhelmed with love and gratitude for my children and my husband. I absolutely love snuggling my kids while they sleep. No matter how hectic and crazy the day has been there is nothing more peaceful than watching them sleep. I found a poem to perfectly describe how I felt.
"As I stood and watched you sleeping, the moonlight kissed your face. My heart is overwhelmed with your beauty and your grace. How precious and so delicate is your tiny little hand. And the sweetness of your lips and eyes is nothing less than grand. Your spirit and your softness tenderly sets my heart aglow, with a love so deep and infinite that only a mother could know. So tonight I count my blessings for my darling, baby dear, for surely God did hear my heart and answered every prayer."

I miss you guys! Today was our Primary Program and my heart was so sad. I sure miss the Primary in North Pole!

Did I tell you that you got me hooked on Prison Break? Yes. On your recommendation, Jake and I started watching Season 1 and couldn't stop until we finished Season 3! Now I'm excited to find Season 4 on fox.com!

So... thanks. I think. It was seriously addictive!

The poem fits the picture perfectly. I can't wait until I'm a mom and can read the poem knowing that I'm looking at my children.

You can sure tell they are sisters! I know what you mean. About once a week we let one of the girls sleep in our bed with us just to snuggle and be close.

Thanks for sharing this poem. I love it! I feel the same way every time I look at Mylee sleeping. I love the post where Avery put makeup on herself! How cute!
